Abstract

Tulisan ini dimaksudkan untuk memberi sedikit gambaran tentang kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia dalam bidang pengembangan profeseionalisme pendidik/guru di negeri ini. Hasil kajian literature menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah Indonesia sudah cukup memiliki kebikana yang menopang proses profesionalisme pendidik. Namun demikian berbagai studi evaluative menunjukkan bahwa terhadap kesenjangan implementasi (implementatioan gap) dalam pelaksanaan kebijakan-kebijakan profesionalisme pendidik tersebut sehingga berbagai kebijakan tersebut belum mampu mengantar perwujudan perubahan yang siginifikan dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia
